Abnormal lower limb biomechanics can be a major contributing factor to pain of the foot, knee, hips and legs in general. Our fully qualified staff are educated and trained to assess the function of the lower limb to prevent &/or correct malfunctions which may lead to injury or pain.

Gait Analysis

Gait is the way in which we move our whole body from one point to another. Gait analysis is a method used to assess the way we walk or run to highlight biomechanical abnormalities. It allows us to help define any issues or irregularities pertaining to your pain/injury.

Diabetic Assessment

All people with diabetes should have their feet checked at least once a year by a podiatrist. This is important to detect problems early and to prevent ulcers and other complications. An assessment includes testing nerve sensation in the feet as well as arterial blood flow.

Lower Limb Vascular and Neurological Assessment

There are a range of medical conditions where a lower limb vascular and neurological assessment is needed to ascertain any possible impacts on health. Peripheral Arterial Disease and Peripheral Neuropathy are common pathologies that need to be monitored regularly. Our team will conduct thorough vascular and neurological assessments and keep your doctor informed of your results.

Footwear Assessment and Advice/Orthotics

We offer prescription custom-made orthotics and prefabricated orthotics to help your feet feel and work to their optimal efficiency. Purchasing shoes with extra depth, good cushioning and structure are important for protecting feet. Once our podiatrists have conducted the assessments of your foot shape and looked at the plantar pressures they can provide individualised footwear recommendations for you.

General Podiatry & Foot Care

Regular treatment by a podiatrist can help maintain and prevent many common foot associated pathologies including: lesions, ingrown toenails, corns & callus, toenail fungus, athletes foot, cracked heels, blisters, foot odour, warts and more. We perform a variety of treatments to help your feet look and feel their best.

Low level Laser Therapy

Low Level Laser therapy (LLLT) is the treatment of various conditions using a laser to bring about a photochemical reaction at a cellular level. The laser light penetrates into tissue where it is absorbed by cells and converted into energy that influences the course of metabolic processes. It can successfully promote and accelerate healing of a wide range of acute and chronic lower limb conditions and is safe, painless and non-invasive. It provides drug free pain relief and healing with no side effects. Treatments take only a few minutes and can be applied two or three times a week.

It is suitable for the treatment of such issues as sprains and strains, achilles tendinopathy, planter fasciitis pain, ankle ligament sprains, arthritic pain, post operative pain and tissue healing.

The Key Benefits include:

  • Non-invasive, TOTALLY Painless and often immediate analgesic effect at the time of treatment.
